Reduced Dues Program
The ADA and the TDA recognize that recent graduates need some time to get settled into their profession. Therefore, the ADA, the TDA and local component societies offer several years of reduced dues with continuous membership. However, in order to take advantage of this dues structure you must join the tripartite (Texas Dental Association, American Dental Association and your local component society) within one year of graduation.
The first full year you are out of dental school you pay $0 dues to the ADA and your state association. Most local societies follow the same reduced structure. You will then have up to three years before you pay dues in full. Don't forget that you must take advantage of this opportunity within one year of graduation to received the reduced dues.
